School Magazine Research – Codes and Conventions

In the magazine research task there were many codes and conventions used to target the audience. In the magazine called Fusion, the images and language on the front page were used to draw in the audience.

Images – There was one big title in a white font to stand out. Also there is an image which is very prominent to catch the audience’s attention. The image is edited to make it look cartoon like which makes it stand out even more.


Language - The title was one word and if it was too text heavy then the audience wouldn’t get drawn in at a glance.
In the contents page there was lots of bright colours standing out to engage the audience.
