For my music magazine I am taking many images to show the bands. On the front cover there is going to be a central main image of a band. The band consists of four members against a white background. The image might be black and white on the front cover to make it more interesting. This will only take a few minutes to set up because the only prop will be a guitar being held by one of the members of the band. The image of the band will be a medium shot because in most music magazines the pictures of the band are done using a medium shot. The artists are looking straight at the camera because when it will be on the front cover the attention of the audience will be grabbed towards this picture. The magazine Q uses this technique on its front cover of the January 2010 issue. The other image on the front cover is a female singer smiling and this is located down the side of the magazine to show more insight of what is going to be in the magazine. An image of an album will be included on the front page to accompany a piece of writing because if the audience gets grabbed by a picture of the album they might know what it is straight away without them having to take the time reading the writing. On the contents page I am going to have an image of a music artist with a guitar sitting on a park bench because this shows the audience what artists are included in the magazine. Also on the contents page there will be a small close up picture of an artist. On my double page spread there is going to be one page took up by a big image of the band. This picture is going to be took on the beach in the evening against the sea and sand to make the picture look really interesting. The camera angle used is a long shot to show the full size of the band and to show more of the background. I will have two other pictures on my double page spread. They will be natural camera shots taken to show the band working on their music.
